Bonnie Hunter is a quilter who travels and does some of those quilt trip things like Mary goes on. But she also has a website which I like, books (I have the one on green quilting where she explains how to buy things like mens shirts at GW and cut them down to reuse the fabric) and she also has a live (and past archives) of a thing she calls "QuiltCam" She sews on her own projects and talks to the camera and takes emails and cell phone messages from other women who are also sewing at home. Like a big group sewing bee! I haven't watched any LIVE quiltcams but I enjoy watching her old ones. It's quit relaxing and I feel like there are all sorts of other sewing women out there alone, and together.
and here she is de-boning a shirt to reuse the fabric.
oh and I forgot to tell you that she collects and uses old vintage machines. Made me think of yours cool old one. Also make sme think that I don't HAVE to sell or get rid of my old Brother machine. IT's still usable and has memories.
